Nakilat is deeply sorry to confirm the following information in relation to the collision accident involving LNG vessel AL JOHNDOE which occurred at the Straits of Singapore earlier today.
Nakilat can confirm that 30 crew members were on board the vessel, heading to China. While we are still awaiting final confirmation, it is with great sadness that we received report of fatalities and injuries. We are unable to provide more specific details at this moment. Our thoughts are with the families of those affected by this incident.
We are working with the local emergency services and other agencies who are at the scene. Our major concern and focus is caring for the injured at the moment.
