Nakilat organizes “Plant a Tree” Initiative with Local Schools

Nakilat has collaborated with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to organize an initiative with two local schools. The initiative is aimed at raising awareness for the importance of environment protection and preservation amongst the students from an early age.
During the event, the students were guided and assisted by volunteers from Nakilat whom also took part in the planting activities. In addition to cultivating a green culture, the initiative allowed the students to develop an interest and appreciation for their natural environment, which goes a long way towards creating a sustainable future.
Nakilat Chief Administration Officer Rashid Al-Marri said, “As a responsible corporate citizen, we recognize the importance in giving back to society and protecting the environment we operate in. We carry out targeted and impactful initiatives year-round by partnering with local institutions to improve the lives of local community and the natural environment, thereby fulfilling our role as a responsible global leader in energy transportation and maritime services.”
