Sustainability Approach
Nakilat and its joint ventures (JVs) are committed to Qatar National Vision 2030, which outlines the development of a sustainable future for the State of Qatar. As an organization, we conduct various safety and internal development programs to ensure the creation of a safe and reliable workforce, while our robust corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework aims to enrich the lives of local communities and preserve our natural environment.
This year, we focused our efforts toward empowering communities, enhancing societal wellbeing, enriching learning experience amongst youths, as well as advocating environmental protection through hands-on and interactive educational activities.
Among the key highlights for 2018 are:
Awareness sessions on environmental protection, health and wellbeing as well as safety enhancement were conducted for all staff
Volunteering initiatives such as the annual beach clean-up and plant-a-tree initiative at local schools
Green Corporate Challenge with Qatar University College of Business & Administration to raise awareness on importance of corporate sustainability
Various career advisory sessions conducted through our student outreach program with several local schools
Contributions to local charities to aid their humanitarian relief efforts
Regular blood donation drives in coordination with Hamad Medical Corporation
